Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks
Tuition: $4,500 (includes roundtrip flight from Williamstown, MA) |
Established in 1872 in what is now the northwest corner of Wyoming, Yellowstone was the first national park in the world. Few places in the world can match Yellowstone National Park's collection of accessible wonders. The terrain yields rugged mountains, lush meadows, pine forests, free-flowing rivers, a diverse selection of animals ranging from bison, elk and bears, and the largest natural high elevation lake in the United States. Your jaw will probably drop the first time you see the Teton Range jabbing up from the Jackson Hole valley floor! With no foothills to get in the way, you'll have a close-up, unimpeded view of magnificent, jagged, snowcapped peaks!
The group will primarily assisting the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park Service in a variety of conservation efforts ranging from trail maintenance to invasive species removal. The group will also volunteer their time with local people and service organizations in the surrounding towns.
There is so much to do in Wyoming! If the group is interested, there will be a camping option along with bicycling, water sports, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding.
